Welsh operatic legend, Sir Geraint Evans was celebrated last week with an unveiling of a Blue Plaque on the house he was born, in Cilfynydd.
In a special ceremony stars for whom Sir Geraint led the way paid tribute. Jason Howard spoke fond words of Sir Geraint, while former colleagues such as Dame Joan Sutherland, Owain Arwel Hughes and Dennis O'Neill sent their special messages.
Sir Geraint Evans' career spanned over 36 years and is remembered for portrayals of Figaro and Papagano, but perhaps most famously Falstaff, which he played in opera houses around the world including for Welsh National Opera.
