Ticket Prices :

All operas :

Stalls: £34.50 / £27.50 / £22.50 / £7.50

Circle: £39.50 / £27.50 / £7.50

Balcony: £22.50 / £17.50 / £12.50 / £7.50

Boxes: £39.50 per seat, per box



Discounts :

Groups of 8 or more: £3.00 off each ticket and one free ticket with every 20 purchased.

Schools and Colleges: Groups of 10 or more, all seats £8.50 allocated at box office discretion. One teacher admitted free with every 10 pupils.

Over 60s and those on Jobseekers, disibility allowance or income support: £10.00 off Stalls (Top 3 prices) and Rear Circle £27.50 seats Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday performances only.

Full-time students: £10.00 each all operas.

Wheelchair spaces: £5.00 each

Welsh National Opera's pre-performance talks are free but have to be ticketed due to popular demand. Please book your place through The Mayflower.

Buy your programmes in advance

If you want to find out more about the opera you are attending in advance, you can buy your programmes by mail order. WNO programmes are available by post after the first Cardiff performance of each opera at a cost of £4 plus 50p postage and packing (cheque/credit card only). WNO performs three classic operas across the UK this Autumn.


WNO presents a major new traditional production of Verdi's tragic masterpiece Otello and the return of two much-loved productions, Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Janacek's Jenufa.
