By telephone: Phone lines open from 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at weekends.

By post: Send details of your ticket requests and WMC will mail your tickets directly to you. Post your request to Wales Millennium Centre, Bute Place, Cardiff Bay, CF10 5AL. Tickets can be paid for by cheque, postal order, credit or debit card. Please do not send cash.

In person: WMC Ticket desk in Wales Millennnium Centre is open from 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm at weekends. When there is an evening performance the front desk is open until 9pm.

Discounts :

Students & registered unemployed - Special Six o'clock upgrade ticket. Purchase any £5 ticket and get a chance to upgrade for £1 to any other seat in the house (subject to availability) after 6pm on the day of performance.

Registered disabled people: Free companion ticket if required. Please inform the Ticket and Information office of your needs when booking.

Groups: Get your friends and family organised. get a group of ten together and get one extra ticket free: a group of twenty gets two extra tickets free.

Surtitles: Follow the action in English and Welsh

When an opera is sung in a language other than English, a translation of the story is displayed on a screen above the stage. Although the performances and music mean you can follow the story, the surtitles appear throughout the show.

Surtitles are visible from seats throughout the new auditorium of the Wales Millennium Centre.

Welsh National Opera's pre-performance talks are free- but have to be ticketed due to popular demand. Please book you place through the Wales Millenium Centre.

Buy your programmes in advance

If you want to find out more about the opera you are attending in advance, you can buy your programmes by mail order. WNO programmes are available by post after the first Cardiff performance of each opera at a cost of £4 plus 50p postage and packing (cheque/credit card only). Explore Opera gives a buoyant ovrview of WNO's productions and the characters in each opera. These events are free for people who may be new to opera as well as regualr opera - goers so please come and experience firsthand the creations of an opera from the score to the stage. These do not need to be booked in advance.

WNO presents a major new traditional production of Verdi's tragic masterpiece Otello and the return of two much-loved productions, Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Janacek's Jenufa.
