When an opera is sung in a foreign language, an English translation of the story is displayed on a screen above the stage. However, surtitles are not visible from some areas of the auditorium. To take advantage of the surtitles, please advise the Ticket Shop when booking your seat.
Buy your programmes in advance
If you want to find out more about the opera you are attending in advnace, you can buy your programmes by mail order. WNO programmes are available by post after the first Cardiff performance of each opera at a cost of £4 plus 50p postage and packing (cheque/credit card only). Explore Opera
Saturday 18 October 2-4pm for The Barber of Seville.
Explore Opera gives a buoyant overview of WNO's production and the characters in the opera. This event is free for people who may be new to opera as well as regular opera-goers so please come and experience first-hand the creationof an opera from the score to the stage.

All the talks are free to attend and are extremely popular. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment!
