Lighting Designer: Carmen

Christophe Forey has designed lighting for many dance, opera and theatre productions. With the directors Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier he has worked on Fidelio, Orpheus and Eurydice, Leonore, La traviata, Mazepa at WNO; Hamlet, Der Rosenkavalier, Pelléas et Mélisande, Der Ring des Nibelungen, Don Carlo at Geneva Opera; La Cenerentola, Il Turco in Italia, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Hänsel und Gretel at the Royal Opera House, London; Clari by Fromental Halévy, Gesualdo by Marc-André Dalbavie, Mosè in Egitto, Le Comte Ory, Otello by Rossini at Zurich Opera; and also The Nose, The Magic Flute, The Love for Three Oranges, Lucia di Lammermoor, Eugene Onegin. His last productions were Giulio Cesare by Handel and Norma by Bellini at Salzburger Festspiele; Solaris by Detlev Glanert at Bregenz Festival. He has also worked with Günther Krämer (Ariadne auf Naxos); Lucinda Childs (Orfeo, The Miraculous Mandarin, Songs From Before, Oedipus Rex); Silviu Purcarete (Parsifal at Scottish Opera and WNO); Vierturs Kairiss (Götterdämmerung in Riga, Latvia); Robert Gironès (Algérie 54-62 by Jean Magnan);  Bruno Boëglin (Bernard-Marie Koltès’s Roberto Zucco); Jean-Marc Bourg (Être Humain by Emmanuel Darley, Cendres sur les mains by Laurent Gaudé, Une phrase pour ma mère by Christian Prigent).
