Katharine Goeldner studied voice at the University of Iowa and at the Mozarteum Salzburg. Current and future projects include Mrs Grose The Turn of the Screw (Opéra de Lyon); title role Carmen (Savonlinna Festival); Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder (Salzburg Orchester Solisten); Marcellina Le nozze di Figaro (Lyric Opera of Chicago); and a recording of Louis Spohr’s Die letzten Dinge (Mozarteum Orchestra, led by Ivor Bolton). Recent engagements include Giovanna Seymour Anna Bolena (Metropolitan Opera); title role Carmen and Pitti-Sing The Mikado (Lyric Opera of Chicago); soloist Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde (Royal Ballet); Brangäne Tristan und Isolde (Salzburg); Gertrude Hamlet (Minnesota Opera); Orfeo (Arizona Opera); Geschwitz Lulu (Oper Graz); Erika Vanessa (Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien).
