Martin Lloyd


Martin Lloyd comes from Swansea and joined the WNO Chorus in 2006. He has performed numerous roles for the company including Imperial Commissioner Madam Butterfly, Count Ceprano Rigoletto, Alcindoro La bohème, Mandarin/ Executioner Turandot and Dr Grenvil La trviata. Outside of WNO he has performed the roles of Sarastro The Magic Flute, Seneca The Coronation of Poppea, Colline La bohème, Zuniga Carmen and Balthasar Amahl and the Night Visitors. He has also performed throughout the country as a concert and oratorio soloist and has appeared in several television broadcasts for S4C. Before joining WNO Martin enjoyed considerable success in competition, most notably winning the Blue Ribbon Prize at the Welsh National Eisteddfod in 2004.
