Rainer Trost has been a guest artist at the Royal Opera House, the State Operas in Munich, Dresden and Vienna, Opéra Bastille, Metropolitan Opera, Komische Oper Berlin, Cologne Opera, Theater an der Wien, and the Salzburg Festival. Concert performances have led him to the concert halls of Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Zurich and Lisbon, as well as to the Musikverein in Vienna. Rainer has worked with conductors including Abbado, Harnoncourt, Muti, Rilling, Ozawa and Pinnock. Rainer’s numerous CD recordings, include Mozart’s
Così fan tutte conducted by Gardiner; Lehár’s The Merry Widow, Mozart’s
La clemenza di Tito, Mendelssohn’s St Paul, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis
and Fidelio, as well as on album recordings such as Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin and Schubert’s Friends. Future engagements include Elias under Gatti in Paris and Tamino The Magic Flute at the Semperoper.
