Manon Lescaut Boulevard Solitude

British soprano Sarah Tynan is much sought after on both the opera and
concert platforms. She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the
Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded the Queen’s Commendation
for Excellence. She joined English National Opera’s Young Singers
Programme, and later became an ENO Company Principal, a position she
held until 2006/2007. Recent engagements include Cleopatra Giulio Cesare,
Carrie Pipperidge Carousel (Opera North); Sharon Disney in Philip Glass’
The Perfect American (world premiere) (Teatro Real, Madrid; ENO); Adina
L’elisir d’amore (Opera Holland Park); Susanna Le nozze di Figaro (Cincinnati
Opera); Iris Semele (La Monnaie); Dalinda Ariodante (Opera de Oviedo);
Servilia La clemenza di Tito (Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment). Sarah is
Welsh National Opera also in great demand in contemporary repertoire with engagements including Dallapiccola’s Partita (BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at the BBC Proms); Unsuk Chin’s Kala (BBC Symphony Orchestra); Megan in James MacMillan’s The Sacrifice (Welsh National Opera). Highlights in 2013/2014 include Marzelline Fidelio (ENO); Roggiero Tancredi (Théâtre des Champs-Élysées). Future plans include the world premiere of Dai Fujikura’s Solaris (France and Switzerland).
