Tomasz Wygoda is a dancer, actor, teacher and choreographer. He studied
modern dance (1993-1995) and history (1993-1999) at the University of Kielce.
He graduated in modern dance in 2001. He has performed in productions
by Łumin´ski and Drzewiecki (Poland); Henrietta Horn (Germany); Jonathan
Hollander (USA); Paul Clayden (United Kingdom). He stayed in Vienna on
a DanceWeb scholarship (2002). He has choreographed for productions by
Michał Zadara, Mikołaj Grabowski and Jan Peszek. He has also worked with
Monika Pe¸cikiewicz, Wiktor Rubin, Maja Kleczewska. Stage movement design engagements include Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen directed by Valery Gergiev/George Tsypin/Alexander Zeldin (Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg);
La bohème (Washington Opera), Szymanowski’s King Roger (Mariinsky
Theatre; Edinburgh Festival), Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov (Lithuanian
National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Vilnius; Teatr Wielki-Polish National Opera,
Warsaw), Gluck’s Orpheus and Eurydice (Slovak National Theatre, Bratislava;
PNO), Verdi’s La traviata (PNO; Savonlinna Opera Festival), all directed
by Mariusz Trelin´ski. Recent engagements include Rihm’s Jakob Lenz,
Moniuszko’s Halka, Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman, Dusapin’s Medeamaterial
and Puccini’s Manon Lescaut (Polish National Opera).
