No other musical instrument sings with the same deep soulfulness of the cello. For more than three centuries, its subtle fluidity of tone and atmospheric colours has inspired composers' most deeply felt creations.
Now, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, St David's Hall and Welsh National Opera have come together with a festival of music inspired by this most personal of instruments. Immerse yourself in some of the most affecting music ever written, played by some of today's greatest cellists.
