Leah-Marian Jones was a Company Principal at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for eight years; where she sang over 30 roles including Tisbe La Cenerentola, Dorabella Così fan tutte, Maddalena Rigoletto, Mercédès Carmen, Annina Der Rosenkavalier. She has also sung leading roles for English National Opera, WNO, Scottish Opera and Opera North. She made her American debut as Junon Platée (Berkeley, San Francisco); also singing The young doctor Palestrina (Metropolitan Opera House, New York). In Europe she has sung Flosshilde Götterdämmerung (Chatelet, Paris); Mrs Meg Page Falstaff, Flora Bervoix La traviata (Angers Nantes Opéra; Opéra de Rennes). Concert highlights include a Gala Concert with the late Luciano Pavarotti; soloist in a televised performance of Karl Jenkins’ Mass for Peace - The Armed Man, conducted by the composer; Rossweisse Die Walküre and Flosshilde in concert performances with the Hallé Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder (Manchester International Festival); Rossweisse in a concert performance of Act 3 of Die Walküre (Glastonbury Festival). Recent engagements include Sara, Duchess of Nottingham Roberto Devereux (WNO); Beggar Woman Sweeney Todd (Llangollen International Eisteddfod).
