Camilla Roberts was born in Wrexham. She graduated from GSMD and continued her studies on Guildhall Opera Course with Laura Sarti, she completed further postgraduate studies at National Opera Studio, sponsored by WNO.
Camilla won the Welsh Singers Competition 2004 and represented Wales in BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2005 Competition. Awards include inaugural Kenneth Loveland Gift, Harold Rosenthal Award and WNO Chris Ball Bursary.
Other roles include First Lady The Magic Flute, Anna Nabucco (Opera North, recorded for Chandos); Tatyana Eugene Onegin (Opera Holland Park); Marenka The Bartered Bride, Mimi La bohème (Mid Wales Opera); Anna Le Villi (Chelsea Opera).
Concert performances include Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (Barbican); Christmas Prom with Raymond Gubbay (Symphony Hall, Birmingham); concerts with BBC NOW (St David’s Hall, Cardiff); Rossini Stabat Mater (St Endellion Festival); appearances at Queen Elizabeth Hall; St John’s Smith Square.
