Youth and Community
Streetwise Opera and Welsh National Opera are offering a rare training opportunity for artists and animateurs who are working, or are interested in working in participatory arts to develop their workshop leading skills in a practical and inspiring 1-day session.
Using Streetwise Opera’s workshop model, this training will help you understand how (and why) you might break down the process of delivering material and exercises, and to know the purpose and structure of each step of your workshop. The sessions will be led by Streetwise Opera’s highly experienced Artistic Director of Workshops, Rowan Fenner.
“Being a participant rather than a leader was so insightful. It was so helpful to feel one’s own ideas are backed up by seeing the things I use are used by others. Rowan is clearly a gifted and inspiring facilitator.”
Venue Orchestral Hall, Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff
Date 27 November 11am-5pm
Please find more details and a booking form below. The training will be based on music and drama, but artists from any discipline are welcome to attend.
To book your place, complete the booking form and email it to Kezia Warner, Streetwise Opera.
