Torre Abbey

Saturday 5 July 2.30pm

Tickets £7.50, £6.25 (seniors), £3 (kids 3-15)

What could be better on a summer’s afternoon than hearing sublime music in a beautiful setting. Ensembles and individual artists from WNO Orchestra will fill Torre Abbey with a stunning range of music, bringing their second residency in Torbay to a close. Wander at your leisure from space to space, each area will be alive with a very different sound. Spend as little or as long in each room - it’s your afternoon.

Lose yourself in sublime music

The WNO Wind Ensemble will play a selection of Czech folk songs and dances in a Suite by Dvořák. Elsewhere, in and around the building, you will be bowled over by the spectacular sound of the WNO Brass Consort in intimate surroundings. The WNO String Ensemble will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Richard Strauss’s birth by performing the sextet from his opera Capriccio, as well music by Mozart. Experience Bach with the period sounds of the Harpsichord with WNO’s James Southall.
