Are operas very, very long?

Operas all run to different lengths - some are the same length as a typical film and others longer.  If an opera is particularly long there will be an extra interval so that you do not have to sit down continuously.  Check the running times with the Box Office when you book your tickets if you need to organise transport or decide when best to eat.

How should I decide which opera to go to?

You can listen to some of the music from each opera on this website (go to the What's On & Where section and click Play Music to hear a selection of music from each opera).  Also visit New to Opera where there is plenty of information to help guide your choices.

How do I order the WNO book - Welsh National Opera - Celebrating the first 60 years?
Welsh National Opera is 60 this year and to celebrate is producing a full colour, hard back book. For more information click here.
