WNO MAX
Encompassing education and access, WNO MAX creates touring opera, concerts, participatory projects, collaborations and events beyond opera performances on the main-stage. WNO MAX involves company members in projects, whilst challenging and engaging them creatively alongside our objectives for artists, young people, teachers and communities. WNO MAX works throughout Wales and across the cities and regions to which WNO tours in England.

WNO MAX seeks to maximise the potential of opera to electrify and enrapture through participation in, and preparation for live opera experiences. Each season is bursting with WNO MAX projects including new commissions, concerts for schools with the whole Orchestra and instrumental residencies in schools and colleges. These projects all run alongside the main tour and are inspired by and linked to the repertoire.

WNO MAX also has ongoing projects that run throughout the year such as Explore Opera which is an `open rehearsal' of a scene from a current opera involving two singers, a director and a pianist on Saturday afternoons in theatres throughout the mainscale tour; Pre-Performance Talks signposting selected operas; Youth Opera , The Singing Club who are a group of young people who meet to learn about singing and music and Concert Parties - our on-going series of concert parties in residential homes for the elderly, hospitals and hospices.
