Geraint was born in Rhosllanerchrugog, North Wales and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Joseph Ward.
For Welsh National Opera, he has sung Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, Duke in Rigoletto, Don José in Carmen and Macduff in Macbeth. Other roles include Canio in I Pagliacci for English National Opera, Opera North and Opera Holland Park, Florestan in Fidelio, Nadir in The Pearlfishers, the title role in Massenet’s Werther and Rodolfo in La Boheme for English Touring Opera, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana for Raymond Gubbay Productions at the Royal Albert Hall, London and Calaf in Turandot and Radames in Aida for Mid Wales Opera.
He has worked with many leading conductors including Owain Arwel Hughes, David Lloyd Jones, Wilfred Boettcher and Stanislaw Skrowaczewski in works such as Elgar's Dream of Gerontius, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Verdi's Requiem and Handel's Messiah. He made his concert debut in Europe with the Orquestre de Sinfonica Portuguese in a performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Lisbon. Other concert engagements include Verdi’s Requiem at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool and Gounod’s Messe Solennelle De Sainte Cecile at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Geraint is a frequent soloist in operatic galas in concert halls throughout Britain with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Raymond Gubbay Promotions.
Television appearances include a soloist in Granada Television's Messiah for All from Liverpool Cathedral and Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
Highlights this season include Cavaradossi in Tosca and Vogelgesang in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg for Welsh National Opera.
