James Macmillan's Three Interludes from The Sacrifice has been released on CD, coupled with a new recording of Quickening.

The Sacrifice world-premiered at Welsh National Opera in Autumn 2007. Based on The Mabinogian Stories, a collection of Ancient Welsh Myths, it tells the story of love, revenge and reconciliation in a war-torn society.
