Gorillaz' Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have asked Alan Moore to write the libretto for their next opera. In a recent interview Moore revealed how he has been in discussions with the duo, and hope to collaborate.

The Gorillaz pair enjoyed success with their first opera 'Monkey: Journey To the West', which held a residency at the O2 Arena, and now hope to top that with their next project.

Alan Moore is an acclaimed graphic novellist, and penned Watchmen,V is for Vendetta, The League of Extraodinary Gentlemen and From Hell. He hopes the pair will return the favour by contributing to his new bi-monthly magazine Dodgem Logic.
