An intrepid team of six from Welsh National Opera has completed the Tenovus Three Peak challeange.

The group scaled the three peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours, and made it back to work in time for yesterday's dress rehearsal of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg

The team, lead by Georgina Govier, has beaten its original target to raise £1,600 for the cancer charity Tenovus and is now hoping to raise £2,500. Georgina said:"It was a fantastic team experience - we had a ball. Our team, which included our brilliant drivers from Pegasus, was made up of people with various levels of fitness and abilities and we really pulled together to complete the task in an amazing 23 hours and 38 minutes."
