Welsh National Opera has been awarded a package of £1.2m from both Arts Council England and Arts Council Wales, after meeting the criteria of ACE’s Sustain funding programme. WNO is a national opera company based in Wales but delivers the majority of its touring work in England.

"We welcome the news that our bid to Arts Council England's Sustain programme has generated a combined package from the arts councils of England and Wales of £1.2 million," says Peter Bellingham, Managing Director, WNO. "This bridge funding, which is in response to the impact on the company of the challenging financial climate, will support the company as it considers options for a long-term sustainable model."
