The revival of Richard Jones's production of Wozzeck opened at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff last Sunday and there's no doubt that the critics hold the award winning production in as high esteem as they did the first time around.
The Times called it "dazzling...drop the baked beans and go". The Guardian gave it 5 stars: "It is a staging that demands to be seen. This season, beans means Wozzeck". Rupert Christiansen, The Telegraph wrote " I do urge anyone with a serious interest in opera not to miss it...I'm booking now to see it again" Click here to read more of the reviews.
The audience and critics were united that evening - as the audience poured out of the auditorium they praised the return of Wozzeck - Press play below to watch.
