Welsh National Opera is looking for over 100 enthusiastic singers to form a community choir to perform in an exciting new performance project, Shelf Life.
The community choir will work alongside Volcano Theatre and National Theatre Wales in a performance project that will take over the evocative domed reading room of Swansea’s Old Library.
Tracing music back to it roots, and exploring the relationship music has with words, composer Peter Swaffer Reynolds will create a score of song and sounds that will be performed by a 100 strong choir led by music director, Kate Woolveridge.
To join you need to:
• Love singing
• Love performing
• Be 16 years or older
• Be committed to attending rehearsals on Thursdays in February and March
• Be available for three performance days per week from 5 to 25 April 2010 (performance times are evenings and weekends. Each performance lasts approx 30 minutes).
