Step through our doors this June for a day of free activities and events.
If you are new to opera, you’ll find lots of fun activities for all the family to enjoy. There’s also a range of events which are ideal for opera lovers, bringing you closer to the action on stage and behind the scenes.

Canfod
Arts and Crafts, running all day: Get crafty with activities for children of all ages. Our new production is set on the British Seaside, so come and make your own Punch and Judy show dolls.
Wales Millennium Centre Foyer
Technical Insights, running all day: Meet the people who work backstage – try on costumes, wigs, speak to lighting designers and stage managers.
Orchestra Hall
Family Workshop*, 11.00-12.30: Explore the story of Turandot through games, acting and dressing up.
Singing Club Open Session*, 14.00-15.30: For children who love to sing. Come along and sample singing in a young person’s choir.
Weston Studio
John Fisher Masterclass*, 11.00-12.30: John Fisher returns to WNO to hold an exclusive masterclass with singers from this season.
Come and Sing Turandot*, (FULL) 14.00-15.30: For adults who love to sing! No singing experience needed. This session will be led by WNO’s Chorus Master Stephen Harris.
Fables - A Film Opera*, 16.30-17.30: An amazing opera film created by Streetwise Opera working with people who have experienced homelessness.
Donald Gordon Theatre
On stage with Cosi fan tutte*, 15.30-16.30: Explore the Così fan tutte set and watch the cover cast rehearse a scene from the opera.
Glanfa Stage
Cosy Cafe, 12.30-13.30: Così fan tutte as you’ve never seen it before, performed by two singers who play all the characters.
Foyer Concert, 14.00-14.45: Experience a free live performance by members of the Orchestra of WNO.
Percussion Workshop*, 15.30-16.15 and 16.30-17.15: Back by popular demand – get ready to get loud.
Welsh National Youth Opera première, 18.00-18.45: Be the first to hear a preview of WNYO’s new opera The Sleeper.
