Robin Tritschler: Roderigo

Robin Tritschler is a Welsh National Opera Associate Artist. He is the recipient of the WNO Chris Ball Bursary and the Sir John Moores Award.

Irish tenor Robin Tritschler graduated from Royal Irish Academy of Music and Royal Academy of Music, London. His many prizes include Kathleen Ferrier Awards 2006, Internationaal Vocalisten Concours in 's-Hertogenbosch and 2007 Wigmore Hall International Song Competition.

In recital, Robin has worked with Janne Malinnen, Julius Drake, Simon Lepper and Graham Johnson, at KlavierFest Ruhr, Cologne Philharmonie, Orivesi Music Festival, Finland, Brahms Song Festival at Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Aldeburgh Festival and Temple Recital Series in Utah.

In concert, he has appeared with National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and London Philharmonic Orchestra; in opera at Aldeburgh Festival, Hong Kong Philharmonic with Edo de Waart and at La Monnaie, Brussels. He understudied Ferrando and Peter Quint for Glyndebourne Festival and sang in the world première of Roger Waters' Ça Ira, in Poland.
Robin will join Welsh National Opera in 2008/09 season as a company member and other roles will include Count Almaviva The Barber of Seville, Nemorino The Elixir of Love, Marzio Mitridate, rè di Ponto and Narraboth Salome.
