As ever the BBC Proms will be hosting a plethora of great orchestras, ensambles and solosits, with the Orchestra and Chorus of Welsh National Opera performing Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, conducted by Music Director, Lothar Koenigs.

Bryn Terfel will be performing the role of Hans Sachs the visionary shoemaker with Amanda Roocroft as Eva and Christopher Purves as Beckmesser in this exciting cast.
