Alastair Moore

Alastair trained at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Tutors have included Ian Kennedy, Beatrice Unsworth, Terence Sharpe and Marilyn Rees. He has won many awards including Welsh Livery Guild Arts Award, Sir Geraint Evans singing scholarship, and first prize in John Ireland Trust singing competition. Appearances include Extra Chorus Rigoletto, La rondine (Royal Opera House); roles: Second Guest Osud, cover of Masetto Don Giovanni (Garsington Opera); Dr Grenvil La traviata (English Touring Opera); Tom Un ballo in maschera, Krusina The Bartered Bride (Burry Port Opera); Wagner Faust, Dr Grenvil La traviata (Cadoxton Opera); Chorus Turandot, Tosca, Aida, The Magic Flute (Mid-Wales Opera). Alastair is a member of WNO’s Chorus where roles include Imperial Commissioner Madam Butterfly, Kuligin Katya Kabanova, Lackey Ariadne auf Naxos, Marullo Rigoletto, Orlik Mazepa, Alcindoro La bohème, Varsonofev Khovanshchina, Prince Yamadori Madam Butterfly, Mayor Jenůfa, First Soldier Salome.
