Payroll Giving & Employer Matched Giving

Payroll Giving or Give-as-you-Earn is a simple and tax effective way to donate to WNO

Normally, any money you donate to a charity comes out of your taxed income. When you make a gift through Payroll Giving, your donation is taken before tax is deducted, so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate taxpayer it will only cost you 60p. Once you have set up your donation, you don't have to do any more. Every week or month, WNO will benefit from your generosity. For more information about giving to WNO through your payslip or pension, contact www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/payroll.htm

By giving from your salary each payday, you will help the Company to maintain its position as a world-class opera company, maintaining the highest possible artistic standards and taking opera on tour to venues in England and Wales. The fact that we know how much and how often you will donate means that we can budget effectively and plan ahead.

Employer Matched Giving

Many companies now operate gift-matching schemes. When an employee makes a gift to a registered charity, the company may match this donation, in full or in part. Some companies even match at more than 100% of the donation!

To find out if your company operates such a scheme, and to obtain a copy of their matching gift form, please contact your Human Resources or Personnel Department.

To discuss how Payroll Giving or Employer Matched Giving could help you join the WNO Partnership, a Production Syndicate or donate to the Annual Appeal, please contact Sue Evans, Development Manager, Individual Giving on 029 2063 5048 email sue.evans@wno.org.uk
