Geraint was born in Rhosllanerchrugog, North Wales and studied at the RNCM in Manchester.
Operatic roles include Cavaradossi Tosca, Pinkerton Madame Butterfly, Duke Rigoletto, Don José Carmen and Macduff Macbeth (WNO) Canio I Pagliacci (Opera North, Opera Holland Park), Florestan Fidelio, Nadir The Pearlfishers, the title role in Massenet’s Werther and Rodolfo La Boheme (ETO) Turiddu Cavalleria Rusticana (Raymond Gubbay) Calaf Turandot and Radames Aida (Mid Wales Opera).
Geraint has worked with many leading conductors including Owain Arwel Hughes, David Lloyd Jones, Wilfred Boettcher and Stanislaw Skrowaczewski in works such as Elgar's Dream of Gerontius, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Verdi's Requiem and Handel's Messiah. He made his concert debut in Europe with the Orquestre de Sinfonica Portuguese in a performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (Lisbon). Recent concert engagements include Verdi’s Requiem (Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool) and Gounod’s Messe Solennelle De Sainte Cecile (National Concert Hall, Dublin). Geraint is a frequent soloist in operatic galas with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in concert halls throughout Britain, promoted by Raymond Gubbay.
Recent engagements include Canio I Pagliacci for ENO and Beethoven 9 Symphony at St David’s Hall, Cardiff conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras
