Martin Lloyd comes from Swansea and is a graduate of Aberystwyth University and McMaster University in Canada. He joined WNO in 2006 and has performed numerous roles, including Imperial Commissioner Madam Butterfly, Count Ceprano Rigoletto and Mandarin Turandot. Before joining WNO he worked with several touring companies, performing such roles as Sarastro The Magic Flute, Seneca The Coronation of Poppea, Colline La bohème and Zuniga Carmen. He continues to perform regularly throughout the country as an oratorio and concert artist and has appeared in several broadcasts for S4C and Radio Cymru. Before joining WNO Martin also enjoyed considerable success in competition, including the Blue Ribbon Prize at the Welsh National Eisteddfod in 2004.
