Discounts :

Schools and Colleges: Groups of 10 or more: All seats £7.50 plus one teacher free with ever 10 pupils

Groups of 10 or more: 10% of top three ticket pirices

Standby tickets: Avaliable on the day of each performance with seats at £7.50 for students and unemployed

Wheelchair users: One free companion seat with each wheelchair space. Proof of status must be shown where appropriate.

Surtitles: Follow all the action!

When an opera is sung in a foreign language, an English translation of the story is displayed on a screen above the stage. However, surtitles are not visible from some areas of the auditorium. To take advantage of the surtitles, please advise the Ticket Shop when booking your seat.

Pre-performance talks

Welsh National Opera's pre-performance talks are free but have to be ticketed due to popular demand. Please book your place through Venue Cymru.

Otello - Tuesday 25 November at 6.15pm & Friday 28 November at 3pm and 6.15pm.

The Barber of Seville - Thursday 27 November at 3pm & 6.15pm and Saturday 29 November at 11am & 6.15pm.

Explore Opera

Explore Opera gives a buoyant overview of WNO's productions and the characters in each opera. These events are free for people who may be new to opera as well as regular opera - goers so please come and experience firsthand the creation of an opera from the score to the stage. These do not need to be booked in advance.

Buy you programmes in advance

If you want to find out more about the opera you are attending in advnace, you can buy your programmes by mail order. WNO programmes are available by post after the first Cardiff performance of each opera at a cost of £4 plus 50p postage and packing (cheque/credit card only).
