Communicating As One

As part of our sponsorship relationship with Scottish Widows, we developed a two-day interactive workshop for their Corporate Communications team to build team values and develop professional and personal skills.

The workshop was designed to enhance existing staff development initiatives and build on the Company’s "Visions and Values" programme, which the team was responsible for communicating across the business.

At Welsh National Opera, preparation is key to our performances, so we were able to share our expertise and skills in line with Scottish Widows’ new corporate message ‘preparation is everything’.

Using our opera Madam Butterfly as inspiration for the workshop content, the participants worked with a director, composer and singer to explore how to communicate effectively as a group. They created ideas together, built trust, shared new experiences and developed communication skills that they could employ in the workplace.
