The artists at Welsh National Opera know how to connect with an audience and create an impact.

Our presentation skills courses enable individuals to communicate more effectively in meetings, over the telephone and when speaking in public

Through a mixture of group work, feedback and coaching, we help individuals to improve their personal performance. Working with professional singers and directors from Welsh National Opera, participants will learn how to:

• Prepare for a presentation to ensure the best possible results
• Use voice, posture and breathing techniques, to control nerves and gain a higher level of engagement from an audience
• Land key messages and communicate clearly

WNO Creative offers three types of presentation skills courses: scheduled open, private and bespoke

Scheduled Open Presentation Skills Courses
Our one-day Presenting with Impact courses run throughout the year and are open to anyone who works in business, the public or not-for-profit sector. They are held backstage in WNO’s rehearsal spaces at Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff. Each course has a maximum of 12 participants, and allows time for participants to receive one-to-one feedback so they can really develop their skills.

Prices
The course runs from 9.15am until 5.15pm and costs just £350 +VAT per place, including a pre and post course skills assessment, refreshments, and course materials.

Private Presentation Skills Courses
If you have up to 12 participants in your organisation who would benefit from attending Presenting with Impact, we can deliver the course on a date to suit you. A one-day course held behind the scenes at Wales Millennium Centre costs £4,000 +VAT (including venue hire, catering, course delivery and evaluation). If you have a suitable space(s) to run the workshop in your offices, we can deliver the same course for £3,250 +VAT.

Bespoke Presentation Skills courses
We can work with you to design a course or series of workshops that meets your specific needs and fits with the culture of your organisation. Working with a Director and Singer to design a bespoke workshop would cost approximately £2,000 to £2,500 +VAT, plus a delivery fee (charged at a day rate of £1,000 per day, per facilitator) and the use of WNO’s rehearsal studios and catering. Therefore the total cost of a bespoke one-day course for 10-16 participants would be in the regions of £4,000 to £5,000 +VAT.
