Ashley studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio.

He has appeared in concert throughout the UK‚ recent performances including St Matthew Passion in Winchester Cathedral‚ a recital of Britten songs for voice and harp at Aldeburgh and European and US tours performing and recording Steve Reich’s video opera Three Tales with the composer.
