Alun Rhys-Jenkins taught music for eight years then decided on a singing career after winning the W Towyn Roberts Scholarship at the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 2004. He trained with Dennis O’Neill at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice and was a tenor with the WNO Chorus from 2005 to 2007. Rhys-Jenkins has since sung roles with numerous companies including English National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
