Caitlin Hulcup was born in Melbourne and was a string player in the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and chamber groups in Perth before training at the National Opera Studio in London. A popular singer of Handel, Mozart and Strauss, she has received particular acclaim for her performances of the title role in Ariodante, which she has so far performed in London, Madrid, Munich, Vienna and Glasgow.
