Librettist In Parenthesis

David read English at Oxford before training as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has had a long association with The Orange Tree Theatre, and was Artist in Residence from 2012 to 2014, directing productions of Love’s Comedy (Ibsen) and It Just Stopped (Sewell), as well as co-ordinating the 2014 Theatre Festival. He is currently Director in Residence at KCS Wimbledon, where directing credits include Christopher Logue’s War Music (adapted by himself and Emma Jenkins), The Long Day Closes, Peter Grimes, Tales From Ovid (Edinburgh Fringe), The Merton Mysteries (community production), his own play Tales From The Wildwood, and The Man Who Planted Trees (a community production involving over 150 pupils from eight local schools.)
