Be among the first to participate in this pioneering event which takes you right inside two of our classic productions as you tame a lion as Tamino and enjoy an exclusive performance of 'One Fine Day'.

Opening July 2017, Magic Butterfly is an immersive virtual reality (VR) experience by REWIND and WNO.

The free experience will reimagine scenes from Madam Butterfly and The Magic Flute, enchanting you in through a unique form of storytelling using classical music, art and technology. Featuring an original WNO recording, this presentation will be your perfect companion if you are new to, or unfamiliar with, the world of opera.

Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff  14 July – 11 August 2017 

The VR experience will launch in Cardiff Bay on Friday 14 July and will remain there for 4 weeks, running during the Cardiff Festival programme of events, including the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival.

LLAWN, Llandudno Parade  15 – 17 September 2017 

The VR experience will visit Llandudno during the Llandudno Arts Weekend (LLAWN).

Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff  23 September – 14 October 2017 

The VR experience will return to Cardiff Bay during our Autumn Season run. 

Albert Dock, Liverpool  9 - 12 November 2017

The VR experience will visit Liverpool during our Autumn Season at Liverpool Empire Theatre.
